The DUKC® performs the following functions:
Draft Optimisation
The Maximum Draft and Draft Scheduler tools can be used to determine the maximum draft at which a vessel may safely enter or depart the port. This optimisation may be done for a particular high water or for a nominated sailing time.
Tidal Windows Optimisation
The Tidal Windows tool allows the user to determine the earliest and latest passage commencement times for a vessel with a known draft. This tool is invaluable for maximising berth usage, reducing demurrage and providing ships with earliest departure times.
Passage Safety Check
The Specific Transit tool allows the user to check the safety of a given transit at a known time and for known vessel characteristics.
